Opening a new local dance studio

Opening the new Capriole Academy of Dance StudioThe Capriole Academy of Dance in Audenshaw invited Andrew Gwynne MP to open their new Brenda Hilditch Studio. During the opening presentation dancers from the studio put on three separate performances.

The owners of the studio Janice and Phil Killeen chose to name the studio in memory of the late Audenshaw Councillor Brenda Hilditch, who enjoyed the very first Wayne Sleep workshop with the Capriole Academy of Dance and was a regular visitor to the school, watching the pupil’s progress and attended the shows they put on each year for charity. Brenda died in 2005 and represented Audenshaw on Tameside Council from 1995-2003.

Andrew Gwynne MP said:

“I am delighted to be invited to open the new studio named in honour of Brenda Hilditch, who was not only a hard-working councillor but a close personal friend.  I think it is a wonderful and fitting tribute to Brenda’s support for the Academy and for her service to Audenshaw over the years.”
